The Secretary of State has decided not to call in the Hampden Fields application. He is “content that it should be determined by the local planning authority”, (AVDC).
We feel extremely let down by our Council, our Cllrs, our MP and indeed the Government who have not done enough to scrutinise and challenge this application despite a Secretary of State refusal last time. We said we would explore every avenue possible and we do still have options, which we are now going to pursue with vigour. We believe that there are strong legal questions to raise that could still stop the application going through. Your committee is seeking early legal advice on this and we will let you know the outcome without delay.
It ain’t over yet!
