Action group letters & emails
Next week on Monday 9th December 10AM, closing arguments to the public inquiry will be heard from all parties at the AVDC Gatehouse Road offices. This will be a good opportunity to hear a summary of all the arguments within one day.
This week are the final two days of the Hampden Fields inquiry with the hearing of crucial transport evidence. If you are considering coming along to see any of the proceedings, we would say that Thursday is the day which is of most interest to the Hampden Fields case, as we will be hearing both our and the Hampden Fields Consortium’s arguments on traffic.
The Public Inquiry resumes on Tuesday 29th October for further 2 weeks. There will be a change to the Highways and Transportation Evidence from the Hampden Fields Consortium – there is an agreement on an ‘acceptable transport solution’ with Bucks County Council. We await further technical details.This late submission together with a 2 week extension to the original Inquiry schedule means that we unfortunately have to start fund-raising again.
With the help of donations from supporters, Hampden Fields Action Group’s appointed legal team, specialists and ‘witnesses’ from the public submitted the following materials for the Public Inquiry in May 2013. The Public Inquiry is currently on break and is due to resume 29 October 2013.
The first 3 weeks have seen the setting of the schedule of proceedings, housing numbers were discussed and also the impact on landscape, visual impact and heritage. For us, the inquiry really “hots up” from Tuesday 6th August. This is a very important date as it is the day we start presenting our evidence. The Public Inquiry of the Hampden Fields planning appeal started on Tuesday 25th June 2013 at Aylesbury Vale District Council, The Gateway, Gatehouse Road, Aylesbury, Bucks HP19 8FF. Represented by our appointed barrister Jack Smyth, we’ll be presenting our case around 30th July with Hampden Fields Consortium following in early August – you may want to attend to show support.

On 10 April 2013, the planning committee made a unanimous decision to reject the application at the local level. The final decision is yet still to be made at the planning appeal.
